During her time in the DAAD Headquarter in Bonn, Germany, she wrote the African-German network for research, innovation and transfer for the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung, BMBF). She also founded a working group for partnerships on eye-level with the Global South, especially with Africa and was actively involved in the so-called development forum, a platform to discuss and challenge current concepts of “development”.
Currently, she is the expert for cooperation and third-party funding for the 15 Goethe-Instituts in Sub-Sahara Africa where she advises on EU-funding opportunities as well as local and regional sponsorships.
Finally, she is a passionate teacher of German as a Foreign language and Intercultural Programs which has been teaching in Germany, the United States and South Africa. In 2022, she won the Teaching and Learning Reimagined Award for an virtual international interdisciplinary course at the University of Texas in San Antonio, USA.
