Before joining the University of Fort Hare she worked as SADC Desk Coordinator, Manager: International Students Support Services, Manager: Institutional Partnerships and Deputy Director: International Students Experience at Nelson Mandela University. She holds a Masters Degree in Development Studies.

Ms Tele firmly believes in the value of collaborative partnerships in providing transformative student experiences. During her career she has initiated local and global partnerships with academic, government and key industry role players. She is driven by the prospect of using internationalisation as a strategic influence to improve student support services at universities
